Fountain Pens Are Here!
Share
Fountain pens and inks have been the most highly requested items since we opened last year, and I'm so happy to share that we are finally carrying them in our store and online! Keep reading for some FAQs:
What took so long??
Somehow, despite opening a whole stationery store, I was not previously a fountain pen girlie. I've spent the past year listening to your requests and doing a ton of research to figure out what pens I could bring in, with the ultimate goal of finding fountain pens that were both affordable yet high quality as well as beginner-friendly.
What pens do you have available?
Starting out, we will have the following pens available:
Platinum Preppy: widely considered one of the best introductory fountain pens, it is surprisingly high quality for the price and comes in seven vibrant colors.
Platinum Plaisir: the contents of the Preppy in an elevated, durable yet lightweight aluminum body.
Sailor Tuzu: a newer offering from Sailor, this pen has a customizable grip section that can be rotated for your optimal grip angle.
Kakimori Aluminum Pen: An elegant matte black pen that is quietly luxurious and a slim design that makes it a highly functional everyday carry.
What about [insert other brand here]?
We are starting out with a modestly curated collection of pens, most of which are considered introductory pens. My goal is to expand our available brands and options over time, but I have to make sure it makes sense financially before I invest a ton of money into expensive inventory (and if you know anything about fountain pens you know they can get very expensive!). But if there is a certain brand you want to see at Semantics let us know! If enough people request something we will make it happen!
What about inks?
We have started carrying several inks! Stop by the store to take a look at swatches or browse them in our online store.
Can I come test out the pens?
Yes! We have a tester for all of our pens inked up and ready for you!
I can't wait for you to come in and test everything out!
